Photo Diary: Mumbai – Love At First Sight

Visiting Mumbai like a tourist has been on my bucket list for a very, very long time. It finally happened and I fell in love at first sight. Here are the highlights of five glorious days spent exploring, eating and enjoying great company.

Places

Bandra Bandstand & Bandra West

Amazing sunset on an evening walk at the beach in front of Bandra Bandstand.
Spent an afternoon walking around Bandra’s neighborhoods and stumbled on the beautiful Mount Mary Church.
Visited the famous Jogger’s Park featured in many Bollywood movies. The entrance fee was 2 Rupees!!
For the SRK fangirl I used to be…posing by the gate to his massive bungalow in Bandra

Bandra West: Hill Road

Strolling around Bandra’s neighborboods in search of a cafe for brunch

Juhu

Sunset from the Hotel Sea Princess on Juhu Beach. A great spot to grab a sundowner cocktail or cuppa. Be sure to also take a walk down the beach and enjoy the locale.

Visit the Taj Mahal Palace Hotel and look out for the main corridor with historical photographs of famous celebrities who have stayed at the hotel. A delightful walk down memory lane.
Strolling South Mumbai is something else: There are century old buildings housing India’s top designer studios on coconut tree lined streets facing the ocean.
